The state of Georgia has restrictions on open burning.

Furthermore, Crisp County has additional restrictions:
- No Summer Burn (May 1-September 30)
- Burn Permit Required (or by phone: 1-877-OK2-BURN)
- Fires should not be initiated before 8AM and should be completely extinguished before dark
