At Cordele Fire Department, training isn’t just routine, it’s a commitment to excellence and safety. Our firefighters undergo continuous hands-on, and classroom training, enabling us to serve better. From January 1st, 2025, to November 6th, 2025, our Cordele firefighters have taken a total of 1,642.5 hours of Georgia Public Safety Training Center Certificate classes. 
All firefighters within the department have completed 24 hours of state mandated yearly training for a total of 648 hours. Each shift level firefighter has received 196 hours of Insurance Service Office ( I S O ) company training for a total of 4,704 hours. Overall, Cordele firefighters have a total of 6,944.5 training hours to date. Cordele Fire Department trains harder to serve better and it is with dedication that we serve.
