The City of Cordele has amended its Schedule of Fees and Charges for utility accounts. Please review the following changes, which are effective July 1st, 2026
Late Payment Penalty: A 10% penalty with a $5.00 minimum will be added if payment is not received within five (5) days after the due date.
Disconnection Fee: If the balance, including the 10% penalty, is not paid within twenty (20) days after the due date, service will be disconnected and an additional $25.00 fee will be charged.
Reconnection Fee: An additional $25.00 fee must be paid before services can be reconnected.
After-Hours Reconnection: Reconnections required after 6:00 p.m. will be charged at $60.00 per hour for every hour necessary to make the reconnection.
Extension Fee: Customers may receive one extension per calendar year prior to disconnection for an additional fee of $25.00
